Given 64% while driving a Skoda Octavia (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 35 average miles
General driving style, Goodyear GSD3's have the best grip(Wet or Dry) but only lasted 16,000 on the front the inside edge gone, outside edge 3mm, ( due to camber).
Was really disappointed with life of these- overall 5/10

Given 84% while driving a Mazda MX5 (195/55 R15 V) on mostly country roads for 15,000 spirited miles
OE were Bridgestones but changed as recommended to these. Driven other MXs with other rubber but haven't found anything better wet/dry.Squirmy cornering at real speed with 28 pressures but combined with PureDrive suspension and a Deuce are a real joy at 30. Tried the Hancook RS2s in someone elses car for a week and they were close for grip but were not as confidence inspiring.GSD3s are okish for comfort/noise but who cares? Lasted 12K so far. Seriously good value.

Impressive grip, but the absolutely abysmal wear rate (they lasted less than 8k miles) means I won't be going there again.

Very good grip in wet and dry: Gove the car lost of feel but the melted on my car lasting 8k on the front... Lots of road noise as well. May buy again but pricing for the miles you get out of them alot of hype for these but they did not live up in my opinion. Get contis if you are speading this sort of money.

Given 49% while driving a Renault Laguna sport tourer (205/55 R16 W) on mostly motorways for 12,000 average miles
The tyres needed replacement at 12000 miles. I drive mainley motorway's and as I have opted out of the company car option and run my own car I do drive in a carefull and considerate manner . If I do not look after the car its money out of my own pocket. The car originally came with Michelin Pilots and I got 28000 out of them. Have now gone back to Michelins, they were ?13 more expensive each than the Goodyears but I am sure I will get much better life from the tyre. I also noted the mpg dropped by 3 to 4 miles per gallon straight after the Goodyears were fitted .

I drive a mk4 Toyota supra TT running approx 400bhp and have had these tyres for about 18 months now. When I first bought the car over 2 years ago the car came fitted with Bridgestone potenza's all round and I had no problems with them until things got wet. The first day in the rain with the Bridgestone's I came to a 90 degree left turn accelerating gently and the tyres just lost grip uncontrollably and the car spun over 180 degrees before coming to a stop, suffice to say, I decided to change tyres. I bought the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's after reading many different tyre reviews and I must say I was quite amazed by the dry grip of these tyres but the real test was the wet road handling. When I first drove the car in the wet the grip compared to the Bridgestone's was simply amazing, they allowed me to accelerate comfortable round bends with no issues and when they do let go they do so in a controlled manner and allow you time to sort things out, unlike the Bridgestone's. You do get plenty feedback from these tyres aswel, enough to be able to control the car well and feel the road, however, I don't think this is the Goodyear's strong point. I have also noticed that these tyres are louder on the road than most I have used in the past but it's a small price to pay for all that grip.

it is the best tyre i bought the last 5 years,even i had v speed indication while i needed h i ve being very satisfying from the wet grip when i tried to stop from a speed of 150 km/h i did it safe and without any problem.

I brought a set of these and from the word go was unhappy with the noise. After a few thousand miles i started to get a pulsing road noise and eventually took the car to Audi suspecting a UJ or something. Audi said both front tyres were badly misshapen !! after just 4000 miles. Driving this car now is like being back in an Army Land rover as the tyres pulse at 50mph and resonate right through the car. Worst tyres i have ever had !

Given 64% while driving a Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 litre TS Sp3 (205/55 R16 W) on a combination of roads for 8,000 spirited miles
Grip is excellent with these tyres, in both wet and dry conditions. They are also cheaper than comparable Bridgestones and Michelins. The tyre is also much quieter than earlier Goodyear Eagle F1's.
However wear rate is not good. After 8000 miles on the front of my car they were finished. I replaced them with a set of Falken FK-452 which seem to grip equally as well but seem to be wearing a lot better.

Tyres felt much better than the NCT5s on it as standard. Dry grip very impressive, wet grip ok but very progressive. Accelerating away from a standstill is poor with these tyres, loads of wheelspin in the wet.
Rear tyres have worn unevenly with 'scalloping' and now make a terrific amount of noise (however tracking was out). After 10,000 miles rears all now on 4mm and fronts need replacing. As a comparison, same driving style, the NCT5's part worn lasted 20,000 miles. Would not buy again.

Awesome tyres! I've had them on the last 3 cars I owned and each time they improved the car more which is impressive.

Even in the wet they grip well but your still able to slide the car but still be in control as well which really does make them such a good tyre in my mind. I have told other fellow like minded drivers to buy these, they have and they too have stuck to these since. Great Tyre!

Much, much better than the Yokohamas they replaced in every respect. In the wet they are safe as houses, whereas the Yokohamas were absolutely horrible. Quieter on the motorway too. After 3000 miles, I can't yet comment on the wear rate, but all in all, I'm impressed. Others have said they're not good in the snow - I drove 4 miles in snow the day there were fitted, so that's not really a fair test!
