These tyres are excellent, I love the asthetics of the tread design and the way it cuts through the wet. I had Pirelli P Zero's before and the side wall was weak and offered hardly any rim protection.

This is where the F1 leads, the Side wall is stronger and Rim protection is good. The grip is fantastic in the dry and is also great in the wet however its more noticable based on the wider the tyre the better.

Unfortunately the V tread pattern tyre has been discontinued so no more I am sad to say, my next tyre will be the F1 assym, which from what I have heard should be good. I hope Goodyear refine the V tread pattern style and bring the design back as it is a good looking tyre. I did notice that it was fotted to the Knight Rider Car KITT, which was shown in a american episode in February. Was this advertising?

The grip on wet and dry roads was fantastic, better than the OE conti sport contact 2 that were fitted to my Mondeo zetec s TDCI. the pair i put on the front lasted almost 25k and the pair on the back 45k. I really couln't fault them, so much so, i put another pair on the front.

very Good grip in dry and wet conditions, held the road like a vise, no grip in snow,Worn very very quickly, most tyres last me about a year, these lasted 6 months, I drive in the outside lanes a lot and because of the soft compound, I was for ever pulling nails and screws out. The brand new tyre had to be sent away for a special repair after a few day. I will not buy again.

Got 12,000 miles from the GSD3 vs 24,000 on Michelins.
But the big annoyannce is the "wheel bearing" noise, wheel bearings are all fine, it was when I jacked the car up to check I noticed the excessive wear. I'm blaming the tyres although as someone pointed out this type of wear could be accelerated by worn shocks. Wont buy these again.

Although I was initially impressed with these tyres after changing over from GY NCT5's, the novelty soon wore off when I started noticing constant tramlining and the steering wheel forever being twitchy. It actually made long periods of driving very fatiguing as you were forever having to correct the steering wheel - something I never experienced with the NCT5's. Yes, the grip was excellent in both wet and dry conditions, but once they'd got down to 3mm, driving in the wet was dreadful. They would aquaplane very easily. Trying to pull away from a junction in a hurry in the wet left you just sitting there with the tyres spinning.

I was also very suprised that they ONLY lasted 11,000 miles!! (on the front the whole duration). The previous NCT5's had lasted 26,000 miles - although I'd never touch them with a barge pole again. Same applies to these GSD3's as well.

I've now fitted Uniroyal Rainsport2's and within 100 yrds of leaving the tyre garage where I had them fitted the tramlining had vanished. I also noticed how much quieter the Rainsports were compared to the GSD3's. Lets hope I get more mileage out of these tyres than I did the GSD3's.

Bought them last summer 08/2008 and since then have made app. 5.000km. The tyres have a very good grip on dry and wet roads specially for my mx5 (rear drive). They are not so loud like the early F1 models (my friend got on his Seat Ibiza). Good aquaplaning reserves and good drifting reserve as well. 10/10 points for grip on highway and steering response. Definatley would buy again. Superb tyre for country roads and highway. Cheers

Actual cornering & braking grip just OK. Grip very poor for hard acceleration in wet & dry. Snow? forget about having a car. Pulling away fast was just not possible even when new. Previous Michelin Radial X with 3mm left were better all round even in snow. These GSD3 unfortunatley wear really well so I am getting rid of them with loads of tread left.

The tyres grip very well under braking and grip well when cornering. Traction in slippery conditions such as mud or snow is poor (but that is not what they are intended for).

Best feature is that they feel very stable cruising at high speeds - and felt noticably more stable than previous Marshall branded tyres which came with the car.

15000 miles tyre life from a set of four which were changed front to back to even out wear is not brilliant. Previous set of Marshall which came with the car lasted about 25000 miles but generally poor in all other respects and had very poor grip.

My Vectra Elite has the 250ps 2.8T engine and the previous GY NCT5's could not put the power down well in the dry and less so in the wet. After much perusal I bought the GSD3's on the front, also switching to a 225/45 section from the 215/50 standard section to gain greater and cheaper options. The GSD3's scrubbed in quickly and the dry grip was outstanding. The wet grip was also impressive and the braking in both dry and wet conditions was very good. Cornering is predictable and smooth with huge grip in the dry and excellent in the wet. I can't really notice any more or less noise than the NCT5's but they can make a bit of a noise on hard (concrete) surfaces but nothing too bad. Again, as to be expected the wear has not been so good. The fronts are down to the wear bars after around 10k miles with much of that on the motorway at legal speeds, however I have given them a hard time around town and on the country roads. These tyres are not really available anymore having been superseeded by the Assymetric design. As such beware fitting these tyres now - some appear to come from Thailand and my understanding is that these are not for the UK market. Only buy from tyres made in China or Germany for use in the UK. I will now replace these with the Assymetric design having heard they are even better.

Fitted the GSD3s to the rear last april. Mostly easy motorway miles, occasional 'spirited driving'. Very good grip in the dry, quite good in the wet also.
However, as with many other reviewers, the tyres have worn very unevenly, ending up misshapen with the appearance of a nut (many flat faces), with severe rumble and noise.
WOULD NOT buy these again or recommend them to other people, for that reason only.
I now need to spend ?300 having them replaced; if the wear was even they would last many more miles.

Very happy with tyres, got 100000km and good responsivness when needed. Found to be quiet compared to previous dunlop tyres on same car.

These just did not go at all well with the MX-5! Would never buy again.

Tried them on the front, however the car would understear suddenly and unexpectedly - which for a rear wheel drive is a bad sign!

Moved them to the back to see if that helped and things got worse. Oversteer was unmanageable in the wet. I only had them on for 3 weeks on the back and had booked in to get a different pair.

It all ended in disaster for me when a deer jumped out. The tyres held up to a 'moose swerve' and I missed the deer (thank goodness), however once again they let go and I ended up backwards in a ditch (very little damage to the car as I was doing slow - making me wonder how I ended up backwards at that speed!).

I've had good things said about them from other users, but they just didn't suit the MX5 at all...

Have since been using Michellins which have been fantastic.
