Hi, I have never reviewed a tyre in my life but felt the urge to with these. I have had 4 of these fitted to my Ford Kuga now for approximately 6 months and at first I was happy with them, this was through the summer months! Then we got to winter and this is where I found the problem, the tyres are utterly useless if there is a single snowflake or a drop of rain on the road, I have never experienced a tyre that has given me such a lack of confidence. Please take my advice and stay clear of these if you want an all year round tyre!!!

Given 64% while driving a Mercedes Benz 190 2.3 16 (255/35 R18 W) on mostly town for 12,000 easy going miles
Fitted these to my wife's 250SLK and after 12000 miles mainly town driving they are barely legal. She is NOT a fast driver and frankly this wear rate is ridiculous.

Given 83% while driving a Toyota Mark X (245/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 15,000 spirited miles
Replaced my previous CSC5/3 with these F1A2, and they still perform very well, probably about as good as the CSC5 and surely much better than the CSC3. Dry grip is excellent, wet grip and aquaplaning resistance are very good too, while pretty progressive approaching and past the limit as well hence pretty confidence inspiring. Comfort and noise I'd say is very good for this type of tire but those criteria are not my priority. Btw if you want relatively low noise and high performance, then this is one of those rare tires that seem able to combine both. Despite being an aging model (already replaced by the F1A3), this tire is still very good and better than most other newer tires.

Given 89% while driving a Honda Civic Type R (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 24,000 average miles
I got about 2 years out of these tyres. MAKE SURE that your tyres are the correct pressure. If they are not then you open yourself to a host of problems such as bad wearing, skidding etc. Once I got my tyres to the correct pressure they were really good on the road. Little noise, good dry grip and wet grip. As they are fairly low in profile and the fact that I have a FN2 Type R Honda then comfort does not really sit well with any tyre. Price is just above the mid range. I paid £100 per tyre. Depending on your car you could pay up to £140. (Paid this for BMW 320i). Just depends on some weird sizes.

I bought the tyres with car , i like the rim protector stripe , they seems to be good tyres but they had massive crack at 18000km

Fantastic tyre and beats the Michelin and Pirelli p zeros that were on my Lexus gs250. Comfort and ride are awesome. Cheaper if you look around too!

Very good tyre except road feedback. you have to steer the car by looking at the road, not by feeling the tyre. You'll have no idea when its going to slip while making a harsh turn...
Aside that, Goodyears provides one of the best comfort i have seen.

Given 76% while driving a Subaru Forester 2.0 XT (235/55 R17) on mostly town for 10 spirited miles
Hello, compared to my previous Conti TS830P winter tires 215 60 16. Although there is no benchmark, this tire is causing me a lot of trouble on a dry and hot asphalt. The wet is wonderful, stops amazing. It's very weird with time and now it raises a lot of irritating noise at 70-80 km / h. 50/50 I would buy again

BMW (255/35 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 45,000 spirited miles
I bought 4 of these, to replace the run flats on my e92 bmw 330d.
I found them to be too soft and spongy. extra roll on the car.
The wear was very good though. got 18k plus out the rears and 25k plus on the fronts.

Replaced them with Pirelli p zeros which had less grip but were stiffer.

Replaced the rear pirellies with Avon ZZ5s which had by far the most grip out the 3 tyres. But did wear the quickest. Would defo fit the Avons again. will not get the goodyears. Pirellis are still on the front waiting for them to wear down and will replace with Avons.

Given 89% while driving a Skoda fabia 3 hatchback (205/45 R16) on a combination of roads for 8,000 average miles
Pros:

+ Excellent grip in the dry. Just as good in the wet, best tyre I have had in these conditions
+ Very quiet, hardly any noise even at motorway speeds
+ Great comfort even with cars that have hard suspensions
+ Best tyre I have owned for minimizing tramlining, especially if you travel regularly on bad road surfaces
+ Best road feel. I have owned Dunlops, Yokohamas, Continentals, Pirellis & Bridgestones. The Good Year beats them all in this.

Cons:

- Very soft quality rubber, can easily pick up damage from scrubbing a pavement & even potholes
- Can wear out quicker than other brand tyres. This was also pointed out by a very experienced tyre mechanic

Overall: I always thought these tyres were all hype after reading some reviews. But after trying a pair on my old Skoda Fabia, there is no going back. Improved the handling a lot over the Bridgestones & Pirellis I previously had fitted. Just a note that as pointed out in the cons, you will most likely be replacing these more than other tyres in the same price range.

Have change to this tyre from PS3 Michelin, my first impression was it is not as sticky on the road to compare to the PS3. The steering feel is not as precise I think mainly the design of the rim protector that make the tyre more square at the edge. But the tyre is surprising soft, & quiet after 30,000km run with still 50% thread. I do about 70% highway 30% city. But overall it is a good performance tyre. However becos of the price & the quality , I will consider during my next purchase ( I realize that Goodyear tyre thread will get uneven after using it for sometime just like the Goodyear excellence when I did my balancing during rotation) it is kind of frustrating though cos I make sure the pressure is kept at 30-32 psi . It make the steering wheel vibrate a bit when I am driving fast . Not to mention it is made in Germany. But other then that it is a good tyre .

Given 93% while driving a Renault Twingo RS 133 Cup (205/40 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 6,000 spirited miles
Superb grip on twisty country roads (Hardly ever need to use the brakes to take a even the fastest bends)
Great wet & dry weather braking, much better stopping distance than the Nankang 'doughnuts' that were fitted to the car when I bought it.
I really like the 'Rim protection' sidewall ridge on these tyres too, especially when my wife borrows the car as she hasn't got a clue as to how near to the curb the wheels are when she's trying to park.
I would say my only gripe with the front set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's I bought last year is they have only lasted for just over 6,000 miles, which is a little disappointing, but I suppose if Goodyear made them more durable, they would be no better than the very pretty, but totally useless, Nankang doughnuts that were fitted before.
