Good tyre but jesus Christ they are useless on UK roads! a single pot hole will cause side wall failure and any minor bumps feel like your car has 0 suspension. The sidewalls are too stiff and cause premature failures often, just google UK road users of these tyres and you will see. I have replaced all 4 tyres 3 times from side wall failures in 40k miles. They also wear very fast and are too stiff on uneven surfaces. Would not recommend, have no swapped to non RFT's and its so much better. Just take a tyre repair injection kit or hell even pay for the AA to tow you and you will save money on needlessly replacing tyres from side wall failures.
For the street these are just fine, they seem to have sufficient grip and I haven't noticed any hydroplaning or dangerous reactions. We'll see how they do as the miles build.
For autocross I am less than impressed. At my last event I found them to lack ultimate grip, and were snappy at the limit. I was sliding around the entire course, and couldn't lower the pressures anymore without going on the sidewall.

These are the run flats fitted to a BMW 330D from new, they are just about ok on a newly resurfaced perfect road but on UK roads they are awful. The ride quality is appalling, although BMW must take some blame as this is how the car was supplied.
Both rears suffered sidewall splits originating internally when less than 1/2 worn at about 12000 and 14000 miles and I am now replacing the fronts for the second time in 22000 miles, one tyre has 5mm the other 6mm remaining tread, again due sidewall failure. Needless to say not with Goodyear. Real shame as I have used F1s for many years and been happy but the run flats are utter rubbish as 9 tyres in 22000 miles should testify.

I didn't have these for long on my car as I ended up selling the car but for the time they were on there they were great. No problems what so ever. Although there was no wow factor to these, I can't remember any time where they lost traction etc. I had full confidence with these. Previously used the Eagle F1 Asymmetric with no problems and will be trying the new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 next. I've used all the premium brands and I always recommend Goodyear to my friends and these along with Continental are my favourite brands.
Hi, I have never reviewed a tyre in my life but felt the urge to with these. I have had 4 of these fitted to my Ford Kuga now for approximately 6 months and at first I was happy with them, this was through the summer months! Then we got to winter and this is where I found the problem, the tyres are utterly useless if there is a single snowflake or a drop of rain on the road, I have never experienced a tyre that has given me such a lack of confidence. Please take my advice and stay clear of these if you want an all year round tyre!!!
Fitted these to my wife's 250SLK and after 12000 miles mainly town driving they are barely legal. She is NOT a fast driver and frankly this wear rate is ridiculous.
Replaced my previous CSC5/3 with these F1A2, and they still perform very well, probably about as good as the CSC5 and surely much better than the CSC3. Dry grip is excellent, wet grip and aquaplaning resistance are very good too, while pretty progressive approaching and past the limit as well hence pretty confidence inspiring. Comfort and noise I'd say is very good for this type of tire but those criteria are not my priority. Btw if you want relatively low noise and high performance, then this is one of those rare tires that seem able to combine both. Despite being an aging model (already replaced by the F1A3), this tire is still very good and better than most other newer tires.
I got about 2 years out of these tyres. MAKE SURE that your tyres are the correct pressure. If they are not then you open yourself to a host of problems such as bad wearing, skidding etc. Once I got my tyres to the correct pressure they were really good on the road. Little noise, good dry grip and wet grip. As they are fairly low in profile and the fact that I have a FN2 Type R Honda then comfort does not really sit well with any tyre. Price is just above the mid range. I paid £100 per tyre. Depending on your car you could pay up to £140. (Paid this for BMW 320i). Just depends on some weird sizes.
Very good tyre except road feedback. you have to steer the car by looking at the road, not by feeling the tyre. You'll have no idea when its going to slip while making a harsh turn...
Aside that, Goodyears provides one of the best comfort i have seen.

Hello, compared to my previous Conti TS830P winter tires 215 60 16. Although there is no benchmark, this tire is causing me a lot of trouble on a dry and hot asphalt. The wet is wonderful, stops amazing. It's very weird with time and now it raises a lot of irritating noise at 70-80 km / h. 50/50 I would buy again
