Given 39% while driving a Ford 07 mondeo edge 130 diesel (235/45 R17 W) on mostly town for 15,695 average miles
Replaced 2 Nexen tyres that had worn because of worn trailing arm bushes for Michalins that I believed would give me good milage and ride.Kept other 2 Nexens on. Big mistake. I replaced the Michalins on 15695 and the Nexens are still on the car at 29168 miles. Cant say the Michalins were any better than the Nexens ride wise. The Michalins were double the price. Obviously I went back to Nexen. When I spoke to the chap who sold me the tyre about the poor performance he said there was nothing he could do. If I had bought a suit where the stitching was coming apart 6 months later it would have been replaced, yet he can just shrug his shoulders. I WILL NEVER BUY OR ADVISE MY FRIENDS TO BUY michalins.

Given 100% while driving a Citroën C4 (205/55 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 20,000 easy going miles
I have always had Michelin as IMO they are simply one of the best brands around. I have been driving for around 45 years and around a million miles in total. My previous Michelins were Energy Saver Plus. These were fantastic in all areas and mileage never affected the standard of quality in all aspects of the tyre. When I came round to changing them it was suggested to try the Primacy 3s as they were better suited to motorway type driving. So after consideration I went for them. That was 16 months ago and 20k miles. Much of it has been on motorways but 20% in town and A roads. In all areas the tyres have been superb and have never come near to letting me down in all weather conditions. Wear has been good, I feel as good as the Energy Saver Plus tyre. One thing I have foundering I have never experienced with other tyres is that front and rear are wearing just about the same, very strange but there you go. As far as the wear is concerned there is still between 4 and a half and 5 mm, I feel this equates to at least another 15k, so hopefully all should comfortably reach 35-40k, we'll see. All I can say is that you would not be disappointed buying them, they are a truly excellent tyre. Many reviews question the breaking qualities of Michelins in the wet, all I can say is that IMO this is rubbish, they are excellent and will never let you down when really needed. Whilst I accept their not the cheapest to buy saving 10 quid per tyre pails into insignificance when comparing quality and mileage available per set. In my opinion you buy the best you can afford but just remember when your doing 70mph there are on 4 small areas of rubber in contact with the road, each one around 5 square inches so it's good to buy quality. If you fancy a set of Primacy 3s you will not be disappointed in any area, by the way I have no conections to Michelin, I just appreciate their product, keep safe.

Given 83% while driving a Mercedes Benz E320 CDI (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 18,000 spirited miles

Given 93% while driving a Skoda Octavia (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,000 average miles

Given 99% while driving a Vauxhall Astra (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 17,000 spirited miles

Given 77% while driving a Mitsubishi Outlander (225/55 R18 V) on mostly motorways for 14,000 spirited miles
After one summer holiday on the road through Europe (5000 miles in 4 weeks) when I give them a hell on german motorways push them to the limit ,plus daily work commuting I have to say Primacy 3 (225/55 R18) is by far overpriced ( £103 october 2014) due to quick wearing and outer rim extremely weak (I lost one tyre after I clip the curb probably). Very good in wet and dry weather giving you a great road stability also very quiet in low and high speed . The manufacturer will claim and rated some tyres as economical, no way,the car economy will depend how heavy your foot is on the gas pedal so don't fall for this trick. About wearing, all new cars come with hard compound tyre comparing with after market soft compound tyre so choose wisely . Always check when you buy tires the manufacture date on outer rim , new regulations of life spam 3 years on display/wheels and max 5 years on shelf .

Feeling for spirited driver is not that good.
Just an ok touring tire. Safe but not fun.

Given 49% while driving a Ford Focus mk2 (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 3,000 average miles
After 6 months and about 3000 miles I don't have the best words for these tires. My previous 5 years tires Primacy HP had much better dry grip from these new ones. The tires slip in any dry road condition. In wet road the things are slightly better. I am disappointed

Front tyres lasted 20,000 miles - excellent grip wet or dry but fairly noisy.

Given 77% while driving a Alfa Romeo (225/50 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 20,000 spirited miles
Bought the tyres in jan 2014 with 64 100km now jan 2016 88 100km
with 2 mm left.the primacy 3 are on front only for dry and turanza GR90
On rear for wet.the 159 like sporty fiat cars namely ferrari maserati etc have
sensitive steering wheel so you can feel white road
marking etc when driving.i wanted tyres which would absorb more and
transfer less to my steering hands.the primacy 3 XL have very flexible side
walls which absorb more compared to other tyres.which makes driving
less tiring.the turanza GR90 has stiff side wall like driving on rails.so i know the
difference well.only problem with the primacy 3 xl is the price/treadwear
i covered 20 000km and only 2mm left.but i looked around for bridgestone/vredestein
goodyear etc non of the other give the primacy 3 comfort unfortunately i will
try to make the 2mm last till december.lol

Given 67% while driving a Volvo S80 D5 (235/50 R18 W) on mostly motorways for 20,000 spirited miles
Recommended from Volvo and Formula One Tyre garage I gave these tyres a chance last year to take out some of the "lowered suspension" hard ride this SE Sport S80 has had since manufacture.
Yes a new tyre is always better than the last one, but these tyres were a fraction bigger than the prescribed 245 40 18s that were specified and with 35psi I had the ride I was expecting, very quiet and comfortable too.

However, they met rain conditions with relative ease when new, but after 15k and half worn didn't meet the same conditions without aqua planing. Maybe this Dec and Jan have been the wettest on record and therefore any tyre would have suffered?

Yes for summer rainy conditions.
No because even Michelin say these are not winter tyres.
Will go back to an All Season Goodyear or Avon tyre for grip and £30 per corner saving.

Given 81% while driving a Volvo V40 D4 R Design Polestar (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 8,000 average miles
Decent overall grip when pushing hard in all conditions and it let you know early when you were reaching the limit, quiet and comfortable for the most part. Only downside is that they were at 2mm by 8,000 miles. Could be the car /driving style though. Rears are on 4mm at 8,000 miles too.
