215/60 17 Tyre Review Highlights

Continental EcoContact 6 rated 21% while driving a Peugeot 2008 (2021)
Driving on a combination of roads for 18000 easy going miles
Terrible tyres, designed for rolling resistance and scrimped on all the other qualities, only 6.4 mm tread when new sidewalls very flimsy and full of dents, and mine only lasted 20 months of steady driving 18000 mls, definitely not worth what they cost, unfortunately they come as factory fit on a lot of cars and I was one of the unfortunate ones that ended up with them

Yokohama Geolandar AT G015 rated 76% while driving a Jeep Rengade
Driving on mostly town for 3 easy going miles
They are pretty good on dry roads for an AT tire. To be honest I haven’t seen much difference from my previous which were pure on road tires ( Bridgestone Turanza t005). Maybe in very high speeds you need to grasp the wheel harder. Moreover, they are very comfortable both in the city and in the highway. Up to now, they are more than decent in the rain. I haven’t got the chance to test them on snow yet. However, I have done plenty of km off-road, mostly on dirt- rocky roads, in which I am very pleased with the grip and cut resistance of the tire, for such an on-road oriented AT tire. The only downside is that small stones constantly stuck onto the tire. It can handle some light to medium mud but It starts”dancing” in deeper mud. No problem in sand and grass either. The biggest issue of the tire is its consumption, which of course is apparent from the rolling resistance rating “E”. Since, I put them on the consumption has increased 1,2L/100Km. Of course the previous tires were “A” rated, hence the big difference. Nevertheless, I would definitely buy them again because it’s a great all around tire, for both every day use and field trips. It’s too early to comment on their lifespan.

Continental EcoContact 6 rated 33% while driving a Peugeot 2008 (2021)
Driving on a combination of roads for 18000 easy going miles
They were factory fitted from new on my peugeot 2008, only lasted 20 months of steady driving 18000 mls all 4 of them had to fork out for 4 new ones which I,ve never had to before with Michelin and Goodyear tyres, also sidewalls are very flimsy and full of dents, when I first saw my car I could have cried, they looked like oversized balloons peugeot shouldn't be spoiling a great car like the new 2008 by putting that Continental eco 6Q crap on them, bet not many people buy them as replacements, they look like part worn tyres when they are new hardly any Tread on them and they tell you all that special compound crap and green chilli saying they last longer with better mileage well it's all lies, I went for Goodyear vector gen 3 all season, totally transformed my car in every respect, Avoid like a Rash.

Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2 rated 87% while driving a Toyota Veloz 1.500cc
Driving on mostly motorways for 72000 average miles
Goodyear assurance triple max 2 is very good reason as below,
1. Superb dry grip, few times emergency brake, car stopped nicely even no sound from the tires was heard due to hard breaking.
2. Excellent wet grip , no much different for tyre grip during dry or wet.
3. Perfect Aqua planing resistant, the car break away water perfectly, car can be maneuvered confidently when tires hits water ponding even during cornering. I can drive much faster in highway during rain compared to other car , differences is very obvious .
4. Long lasting , my car hits 120,000 km in 3 years with this tires and the grip still superb . No crack observed on tires , tires tread < 50%, I forecast at least can used up to 150,000 km .
5. Hard side wall, give good control during cornering or cornering on uneven road .
6. Cheapest among all branded tires in the same class. Based on my research , at least 10%-15% cheaper compared to continental, Michelin or Bridgestone.
7. Noise is just average , not too loud, but little noisy compared to other big brand tyre . But still in acceptable level
8. Lack of comfort , Due to hard side wall these tyre sacrifice on comfort a little bit but still within acceptable level .

Bridgestone Alenza 001 rated 49% while driving a Toyota
Driving on mostly town for 12000 average miles
My car tends to slide outwards due to centrifugal force while using Bridgestone Alenza tyres on curved roads. Compared to Bridgestone Alenza, my Continental Winter Contact 870 winter tyres performed better on the same roads. My Totota Model is not listed on the pop-up menu. It is the Corolla Cross Hybrid Fashion X-Pack.

Maxtrek MAXIMUS M1 rated 51% while driving a Ford AU Falcon
Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 average miles
My very well treaded maximus M1 tyres have nearly killed me in wet weather due to no grip in the wet and taking off at lights is a gamble as your not sure weather you are going to collect the car next to you due to lack of traction I wouldn't recommend these tyres to my worst enemy stay clear if you drive in rain frequently regards a pissed off customer

Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen 3 SUV rated 90% while driving a Dacia Duster 4x4
Driving on a combination of roads for 30000 spirited miles
35k km on them. Got them for 2 winters and 2 summers. The first year it didn’t show any wear but on the second they started ageing.
Excelent wet and snow driving and braking
Above average for dry.

Kleber Krisalp HP3 rated 54% while driving a Dacia Duster Eco G 100
Driving on mostly town for 0 average miles
Driven two winter seasons on Dacia Duster
The function of a winter tire is mainly to perform well in snowy conditions. This tire performed well below average on icy snow and below average on fluffy snow. Overall - a disappointment!

Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 rated 32% while driving a Jeep Rengade
Driving on a combination of roads for 13000 spirited miles
Good grip in the dry, considering it is a winter tyre. Awful grip in the wet, and wear rate is excessive. Noise is the worst of any tyre I have ever fitted; it is impossible to have a conversation with someone in the rear of the car without shouting, and noise gets progressively worse as speed increases. I'm surprised to read positive reviews of this tyre considering how poorly it performs overall. I'm not sure if I got a faulty batch but I will not buy Bridgestone tyres again. Will stick to Michelin or Yokohama in future.

Continental WinterContact TS 870 P rated 83% while driving a Citroën DS3
Driving on mostly country roads for 2000 easy going miles
Very balanced tyres. Ideal for my EV thanks to the low noise and rolling resistance.

Linglong Green Max All Season rated 81% while driving a Dacia Duster 4x4
Driving on mostly motorways for 20000 average miles
The tyres are OK. Good value for money. I confirm that breaking in the rain should be anticipated. I drive a lot (30,000 per year), mostly on highways and in the mountains, including in winter. The tyres lasted 1.5 years and I bought the same again.
