2016 All Terrain and Off Road MT Tyre Test P5 of 10

The Korean company continues to impress - their tyres performed well in the last two tests, and that says a consistently high quality of their products. This time, Hankook impressed on the asphalt and gravel, and if not for the relatively low strength of the sidewalls, they would have taken a place among the leaders of this test.

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.

The Hankook Dynapro MT finished fifth of ten mud-terrain tyres in Drive Out's 2016 all-terrain and off-road comparison. Testers praised its performance on asphalt and gravel, giving it useful strengths on those surfaces within that M/T field.

Relatively low sidewall strength was the stated limitation, with the verdict saying it prevented a finish among the leaders. This is one comparison without separate discipline measurements, so it does not quantify braking or traction margins, or establish wet-road, snow, noise, wear or efficiency performance. The favourable surface comments should be read alongside that sidewall concern rather than as evidence of strength in every off-road condition.
