Performance Analysis
Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.
The Kumho PorTran KC53 finished seventh of 16 in its only independent comparison, the 2019 ADAC van tyre test in 215/65 R16 C. Noise was its clearest strength: ADAC described it as the quietest tyre in the test. The same assessment criticised weak wet performance, so its slightly above-midfield overall placing should not be read as an equally strong result in the rain.
These judgements concern a field of cargo and commercial tyres. There are no separate braking distances, handling results or aquaplaning measurements to identify the precise source of the wet weakness. Nor does the test establish wear, efficiency or ride comfort, which is distinct from noise. One comparison supports a specific refinement advantage and a wet-weather qualification rather than a broad claim of balanced performance.
