Drawn from 3 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.
The Firestone Destination LE3 has a mixed test record, with a much stronger result in the 2026 Tyre Reviews HT All Season comparison than in Tire Rack's 2024 highway test. Tyre Reviews placed it second of seven and Highly recommended, with first place for snow braking and snow cornering, second for wet handling and second for rolling resistance. Dry braking was also second, just 1.4% behind the best. The dry handling lap took 1.9% longer than the quickest lap, placing last, and dirt handling felt less progressive than the best.
That strong wet result is unusual beside the 2024 Tire Rack test, where it finished eighth of nine overall, seventh in wet braking and sixth in wet handling. Drivers described loose steering and grip that was slow to recover, despite liking its cushioned ride and noise control. Snow performance also varies by comparison: the wider 2026 Tire Rack truck field placed it 20th of 30 for snow braking and 19th for acceleration, contrasting with the snow-braking win among seven highway tyres. Ice results were stronger there, eighth for braking and fourth for acceleration. Different fields and sizes make a single verdict difficult, especially for wet grip and snow braking.

Strong = top two of the field in that measurement. Weak = bottom two.
The Firestone Destination LE3, a highway all-season without the 3PMSF mark, shared fourteenth place. Good ice grip offset modest snow traction and braking.
The Firestone Destination LE3 is a very strong tyre. It was the best overall in the wet, good in all braking tests with the best snow braking AND the second lowest rolling resistance. On dirt it wasn't quite as drivable as some of the other tyres but I don't really think that matters for this catoroy of tyre. Fantastic product.
The Firestone Destination LE3 finished eighth overall. It offers a quiet, cushioned ride and a respectable snow lap, but weak grip and vague steering on wet and dry roads leave it behind most of this group.
