2025 Autobild Crossover SUV All Season Test P10 of 10

The Fortuna Eco Plus 2 4S attracts attention as a budget option with surprisingly good performance on snow. However, this is where the positives end. The tyre exhibits significantly excessive wet braking distances that pose a genuine safety concern, combined with difficult-to-control handling behavior in wet conditions and an unharmonious feel on dry roads. The testers conclude with a clear warning: drivers should avoid this tyre entirely despite its tempting low price.

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 2 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.

Long wet stopping distances recur in the Fortuna Ecoplus 2 4S's two tests. Auto Bild's 2024 market overview put wet braking 31st of 37, 36.4% behind the best. In the 2025 Auto Bild Sportscars SUV comparison it was last overall among ten, with wet braking last of 12 at 54.99 m, 37.9% longer than the best. Wet handling was also last, 12.1% behind the best speed, and testers found it difficult to control. Dry braking, dry handling and straight aquaplaning resistance were all last of 12 too, prompting a clear warning to avoid it despite its low price.

The positives were low measured noise, the cheapest purchase price and comparatively better snow braking. Noise was first of 12 in the 2025 test, while snow braking was fourth, 7.1% behind the best, and slalom fifth. The notes unusually call those snow results third and fourth, differing from the numerical positions. Snow traction was only seventh and handling eighth of 12, so the broad praise for snow does not mean it led every winter discipline. Rolling resistance was tenth of 12 and comfort eighth of ten. Dry braking in 2024 was 23rd of 37, 15.2% behind the best, offering no evidence that the repeated wet-stopping deficit was offset by consistently short dry stops.
