This test has proven that mud terrain M/T tyres are specialist off-road tyres, which have limited ability in the snow. Driving the X3 on snow was a totally different experience to any of the other tyres on test.
Where the General Grabber X3 finished in each measured discipline, across every test that measured it against at least two other tyres. Field beaten is the share of the other tyres it outranked in that measurement.

The Grabber X3 finished fourth on a road-biased weighting, but it was in a different league in mud, the quickest of the 265 size tyres on gravel and the best for aquaplaning. It was also much quieter on the road than I expected from a mud terrain. The price is weight, rolling resistance, and grip and braking on tarmac. If you spend a lot of your time off road, particularly in mud or on rocks where its heavier construction helps, a mud terrain is the only real choice.
