Joint second with the Michelin and rated very good. The Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Cargo is the tyre to pick when wet and dry braking matter more than winter traction: it is the strongest of the six under braking on wet roads and among the best in the dry, but it is one of the weaker snow tyres in this field. promobil singled it out for buyers who value wet braking above all.

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 3 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

Wet braking is the clearest strength of the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Cargo across three van all-season tests, all with second-place overall finishes. It led wet braking in Pro Mobil’s 2020 seven-tyre comparison and 2026 six-tyre test, and was third of ten in the 2020 Auto Bild comparison. The 2026 result was shared second with a Very good rating, supported by second-place dry braking, just 1.4% behind the best, and second-place measured noise. Testers repeatedly praised comfort and secure wet-road behaviour, although wet handling varied from first in Pro Mobil 2020 to fourth, only 1.4% behind, in 2026.

Snow is less consistent. Auto Bild’s 2020 first-place traction and second-place snow braking are unusually strong beside the Pro Mobil results: snow handling was sixth of seven in 2020 and fifth of six in 2026, when traction was last, 9.2% behind the best. Pro Mobil found it controllable on snow despite limited grip. Dry braking also varies, drawing criticism in both 2020 tests before the stronger 2026 result. Aquaplaning was more convincing in 2020 than the midfield 2026 results, and rolling resistance was below the leading group in all three. Its most dependable case is wet braking and road use, with qualifications for snow-heavy use and efficiency.
