The Best All Season Tyres for 2024 / 2025 P6 of 6

The Grenlander Greenwing AS was good on snow, the best on ice and very quiet, but that's where the positives end. It had awful grip in the dry, really awful grip in the wet - 45% worse than the best, awful aquaplaning resistance, poor refinement and a high rolling resistance. It's an all season tyre that only works in the most extreme parts of winter, which I'm pretty sure indicates it's a cheap soft winter compound from a budget manufacturer that they just put an all season sidewall plate on to try and sell some tyres. Don't do it.

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Grenlander GreenWing AS finished last of six all-season tyres in the 2024 Tyre Reviews test titled The Best All Season Tyres for 2024 / 2025, in 235/35 R19. Its snow performance and quiet running earned praise, and it led both ice assessments in the wider measured field, with 9.03 m ice braking and 4.5 s ice traction. Those winter strengths were outweighed by very poor wet and dry grip. Dry braking was 42.12 m, 22.6% from best, while wet braking was 35.36 m, 48% from best.

Cool wet braking was similarly weak at 36.96 m, 44.9% from best, and wet handling was 26.6% behind the leader. Subjective wet handling was last of six at one point. The testers also criticised the lowest aquaplaning resistance, below-average refinement and highest rolling resistance within the all-season group. Quiet noise and poor refinement therefore describe different aspects of the ride. There is no award recorded. This single test supports snow and ice ability, but the large dry and wet deficits prevent those strengths from establishing a balanced all-season performance.
