Performance Analysis

Drawn from 2 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

Low noise is the most consistent strength of the Hankook Dynapro HP2 RA33 across its two SUV summer tests, both in 215/65 R16. ADAC called it quiet in 2017, when it finished 11th of 15, and Off Road also praised low noise in 2016. The latter test placed it fifth of six overall but still gave a Recommended verdict. Off Road highlighted short wet braking distances, describing that aspect as excellent, while criticising aquaplaning resistance. Its wet stopping performance therefore did not extend to an equally convincing ability to clear standing water.

Dry braking was another weakness in the 2016 Off Road test, with the article identifying it as the worst in the field. ADAC's broader wet verdict in 2017 was also negative, so the earlier wet braking praise should not be read as a consistent wet-road advantage. Efficiency results differed unusually: Off Road described high rolling resistance, whereas ADAC praised relatively low fuel consumption. With no discipline distances or detailed rankings beyond the dry braking result, the record supports a clear low-noise benefit but a more qualified assessment of grip and efficiency.
