The Marshal WinterCraft Ice Wi31 has one independent studded winter test, with a clear dry-road strength but a weaker overall result. In the 2017 Autocenter Studded Winter Tyre Test it finished eighth of ten, despite leading dry braking at 30.96m. The testers also praised dry handling, making dry asphalt its most favourable part of this comparison.
Its winter results were less convincing. Snow braking was last of ten at 18.63m, 6.9% longer than best. Ice braking was fourth at 12.98m, but still 27.8% longer than best, and the testers criticised ice grip and handling. The relatively better ice-braking placing therefore does not establish good overall ice behaviour.
