Performance Analysis

Maxxis Victra Sport 6 - Official Image

Across three summer tyre tests, the Maxxis Victra Sport 6 shows a clear split personality: it can feel and drive reasonably well in the dry (often closer to mid-pack and occasionally near the top on subjective dry measures), but it repeatedly falls behind in wet safety-critical areas and especially aquaplaning resistance. This imbalance drags its overall rankings down, culminating in a very weak finish in the large 2026 Auto Bild full test where wet results carry heavy weighting.

The pattern is consistent across different test formats (full comparison and braking-only) and sizes: wet braking is persistently a long way off the best, wet handling feedback is poor, and straight/curved aquaplaning is among the worst in field. On the positive side, rolling resistance can be strong (notably 2nd in evo), and the tyre can be relatively quiet, but poor wear/abrasion in the Auto Bild test adds another major downside for total cost of ownership.
