The Pirelli P Zero Corsa (N0) was a revelation in wet handling, delivering performance that rivaled dedicated racing wet tyres. Drivers were astounded by the Corsa's ability to find grip in even the most challenging conditions, with precise steering response and a planted rear end that inspired confidence. The tyre's feedback was excellent, allowing drivers to easily modulate the throttle to control oversteer. While the Corsa's turn-in may not have been quite as razor-sharp as some of its competitors in dry conditions, its overall balance and progressive behavior made it a favorite among drivers who prioritized a communicative and engaging experience.

The Pirelli P Zero Corsa's two tests cover different versions, with sharply different wet-road findings. Auto Bild Sportscars placed the Porsche N0 version second of six overall in 2024, first of five for wet handling and second for wet braking, just 1.8% longer than best. Testers praised dry feedback and a planted rear end. That wet result was unusually strong beside Auto Review's 2014 criticism of wet braking, cornering and aquaplaning, but the earlier test used the Corsa System with different front and rear tread designs. The two results should not be treated as equivalent fitments.

Dry-road praise was more consistent in the written assessments, though it did not mean the quickest lap. In 2024, dry braking was fourth of six, 10.1% longer than best, while dry handling and the long run were both last of six, 2.3% and 3.6% slower than best respectively. Testers noted less precise turn-in on hot laps and longer runs, while still valuing feedback and progressive behaviour. Auto Review praised dry braking and handling in 2014 but criticised comfort and wear, finishing the tyre sixth of seven. The record therefore supports a communicative dry-road character, while wet capability, sustained pace and everyday compromises depend heavily on which version and comparison is considered.

2014 Auto Review Max Performance Tyre Test

The Pirelli P Zero would have been the correct tyre to have in this test, however as it’s not made in the sizes required, Pirelli opted to send the Corsa System, which is more an extreme performance / trackday combination of tyres. The combination of a directional front and asymmetric rear just gave the tyre the edge in the dry over the Michelin, but it struggled in the wet with braking, cornering and aquaplaning. Low comfort and high wear make these good track tyres, but for everyday use is better to use more versatile tyre.
