Michelin Alpin 7 vs Vredestein Wintrac Pro plus
The data show Michelin consistently stronger in dry and snow metrics, plus a decisive edge in rolling resistance and noise. Vredestein counters with sharper wet handling, better aquaplaning reserves and engaging subjective feel in the wet and dry. Overall rankings favor Michelin (three higher finishes out of four), yet Vredestein's wet-biased performance and price appeal will suit drivers in milder, rain-heavy winters.

DRY
The tires have very good grip on dry, especially with acceleration.
Stopping distances seems reasonable but I didn't put them on extreme braking, as my driving is not that spirited.
The handling lacks a bit of a feeling and I suspect there is more wall flex, which is a trade off - a bit more floaty but with very good comfort.
Noise seems not a problem as well, if you listen you will hear it but otherwise, especially in the city, you barely notice it.
WET
In the wet, the tires also were OK. I drove fast on a very wet... Continue reading this review using the link below

Conclusion
Vredestein Wintrac Pro+ excels when rain dominates. It repeatedly tops wet handling, wet circle and aquaplaning, feeling more agile and confidence-inspiring on soaked roads, and offers good value. Trade-offs are longer dry and snow stopping distances on average and notably higher rolling resistance. If your winter is mostly wet with occasional light snow, Vredestein fits the brief; for broader winter security, refinement and running-cost savings, Michelin takes the nod.

Footnote
This page has been developed using tyre industry testing best practices. This means we are only comparing tests which have had both tyres in the same test.
Why is this important? Tyre testing is heavily affected by things like surface grip levels and surface temperature, which means you can only compare values from the same day. During a tyre test external condition changes are calculated into the overall results, but it is not possible to calculate this between tyre tests performed on different days or at different locations.
As a result you will see other tests on Tyre Reviews which feature both the %s and %s, but as they weren't conducted on the same day, the results are not comparable.
Lots of other websites do this sort of tyre comparison, Tyre Reviews doesn't.
