Best SUV All Season Tyres for 2025 P2 of 7

The BFGoodrich ADVANTAGE SUV ALL SEASON is a solid tyre overall. This is the first test of the SUV variant, and while it's likely very closely related to the non-SUV variant, it worked very well in this size. It was the best in dry braking, though a little bit too much understeer in dry handling, average in the wet grip tests but great in aquaplaning, very good in the snow, great noise and comfort, AND the lowest rolling resistance in the test.

Strong: Dry Braking, Subj. Dry Handling, Straight Aqua, Curved Aquaplaning, Subj. Comfort, Subj. Noise, Rolling Resistance Weak: Wet Braking Winner: Nokian Seasonproof 2

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The BFGoodrich Advantage SUV All Season finished second of seven with a Highly recommended award in the 2025 Tyre Reviews SUV all-season test. Its strongest combination was comfort, sound comfort, aquaplaning resistance and efficiency. Subjective comfort and noise both led the field with ten points, although measured external noise was fourth of seven at 71.7 dB. Rolling resistance was lowest at 6.57 kg/t, and both straight and curved aquaplaning placed second of seven, only 0.9% and 1.3% behind the best. Dry braking measured second of eight at 36.21 metres, consistent with the testers' praise for short stops.

Wet stopping was the main weakness: seventh of eight at 33.63 metres, 16.4% longer than the best. The testers also described greater understeer across the handling tests, despite favourable subjective scores, while timed dry and wet handling each ranked sixth of eight. Snow behaviour received praise, with a third-of-seven subjective handling score, but measured snow braking was sixth of eight and traction fifth, so the positive driving impression should not be confused with leading every snow discipline. These findings concern the first test of the SUV variant in 235/55 R18 and do not establish consistency across other sizes or variants.
