Performance Analysis

Drawn from 2 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Barum Bravuris 6 has a stronger test record for efficiency and comfort than for braking or handling. In the 2026 Autozurnal Eco Summer Tyre Test it finished sixth of ten and was described as the best budget option. Rolling resistance and energy consumption both ranked third, with energy use just 0.8% behind the best. Subjective comfort was second of ten. The testers considered its efficiency comparable with premium tyres in that field, giving it a useful advantage for drivers concerned with consumption.

The safety results were less competitive. Dry braking was eighth of ten in the same 2026 test, 12.9% behind the best, while wet handling and both aquaplaning disciplines ranked seventh. Wet braking was sixth, 11.4% behind. The 2025 Auto Bild Summer Tyre Test Shootout also found weak braking: 40th of 52 in the dry and 38th in the wet, contributing to 39th overall. These two tests support a consistent braking limitation, while the comfort and efficiency strengths have only been established in the fuller 2026 assessment. Its budget positioning should therefore be weighed against longer stops and below-average handling results.
