Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Bridgestone Turanza T005A finished fourth of six in the 2023 APAC Tyre Test by TopTireReview, in 225/45 R18. Its strongest results were for comfort, measured noise and wet braking. Subjective comfort was first of six, while the two measured noise results were first at 69.8 dB and second at 72.3 dB. Wet braking was second at 18.34 m, 2.4% from best. These results give a more favourable picture of refinement and wet stopping than of handling or efficiency.

Dry braking was fifth of six at 38.57 m, 7.1% from best, and timed dry handling was fourth, 5.6% behind. Wet handling was fifth, 6.5% from best, so the good wet-braking result did not extend to every wet discipline. Straight aquaplaning was last, although only 2.8% from best at 75.37 km/h. Rolling resistance was also last, 17.9% from best. Subjective noise ranked fourth, a less favourable result than the measured noise readings. No award or written tester verdict is recorded, and this single test cannot establish a pattern across sizes or later-life use.
