The General Grabber HT is consistently strong in road braking and wet grip, with snow traction a less convincing part of its all-season record. It won the 2026 Tyre Reviews highway-terrain test of seven tyres, ranking first for dry braking, wet braking and wet handling. Tire Rack placed it fourth of nine in 2024, with shared-best dry braking and third places for wet braking and wet handling. The 2026 test also ranked comfort first, although dry handling was fifth and rolling resistance fifth.
Aquaplaning results split by discipline: straight-line resistance was first in the 2026 Tyre Reviews test, but curved resistance was last. Snow traction was fifth of seven there. In Tire Rack's broader 2026 comparison of 30 truck tyres it was 24th for snow traction and 26th for snow braking, despite a better subjective snow rating; that wider field is different from the highway-terrain comparisons. Snow handling was sixth of nine in 2024 and fourth of seven in 2026. Tire Rack also reported dry understeer at the limit in 2024, so the short dry stops should not be read as uniformly strong cornering behaviour.

The new General Grabber HT takes the win by a small margin by acing dry and wet braking, having the best wet lateral grip, being good enough in the snow, though I would like to see a little more snow traction, and by having good comfort levels. It's rolling resistance is a little high and it didn't do great in curved aquaplaning, but both objectively and subjectively it's a really nice on road product.
The General Grabber HT finished fourth overall, with strong wet performance and pleasant road manners. Weak dry cornering grip and middling snow pace are what keep it from the top of the table.
