Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Hankook iON evo SUV shared second place and received an Exemplary rating in the 2024 Auto Bild EV Tyre Test. Its clearest results were the shortest dry braking distance, 33 metres, and lowest measured noise, both first of nine. Projected mileage ranked third of eight, just 3.2% behind the best, while cost per kilometre was second of eight. The testers praised the combination of secure handling, short stops, low noise and useful mileage, without naming a specific weakness.

Wet braking ranked fourth of nine, 4.5% behind the best, while dry and wet handling were fifth. Those results suggest a balanced rather than dominant handling performance in this field of EV-specific and conventional tyres. Straight-line aquaplaning was fourth, only 1.2% behind the best, and curved aquaplaning fifth. Rolling resistance was also fifth, despite third-place energy consumption, so low measured noise and good dry braking were clearer advantages than class-leading efficiency. This single test supports a useful overall balance for EV use, while leaving consistency across other sizes and conditions unconfirmed.
