The Leao Nova Force combined low noise and a low purchase price with weaker grip, steering response and wear in Auto Bild's 2017 summer testing. It placed 16th of 51 in the braking shootout, then 17th of 20 in the full comparison of the same size, receiving a Recommended verdict. These are two stages of the same programme rather than independent confirmation across different years or conditions.
In the full test, dry braking was 16th of 20, 6.7% behind the best, while wet braking was 15th with a 12.4% gap. Dry handling was 18th of 20 and wet handling 14th, consistent with the testers' criticism of reduced grip on both surfaces and slow steering response. Projected mileage was 23,794 km, 19th of 20 and 40.5% behind the best, so the cheap purchase price did not come with strong wear performance. Low noise was a clear positive in the testers' comments, but the record is limited to this one test programme.
