promobil 2026 All Season Motorhome and Van Tyre Test P2 of 6

Joint second with the Goodyear and rated very good. The Michelin Agilis CrossClimate is the strongest braking tyre in the test on dry roads and close to the best in the wet, it is quiet, and it is good on snow when measured, but its wet handling let it down enough to keep it off the top step. promobil noted it was probably the priciest tyre here and that this time it did not quite reach the top spot.

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 2 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Michelin Agilis CrossClimate has a consistent split between strong braking and weaker wet cornering in Pro Mobil's all-season van tests. It was third of seven in the 2020 Commercial Van All Season Tyre Test and joint second of six, rated very good, in the 2026 All Season Motorhome and Van Tyre Test. Dry braking was best in both, at 43.8 and 48.3 metres respectively, while wet braking was second in both. Straight aquaplaning resistance was also second in each test. Low external noise supports the road performance, with second place in 2020 and first in 2026.

Wet handling was last in both comparisons, seventh of seven in 2020 and sixth of six in 2026, with strong understeer a repeated criticism. Snow handling speed was second in both tests, but that does not tell the whole story: the 2026 testers gave it the lowest subjective snow-handling mark because steering reserves were limited. Snow braking improved from fifth of seven in 2020 to third of six in 2026. The newer test also found lower-group ride comfort and the highest price. Its strengths are therefore stopping distances, aquaplaning resistance and low noise, with less assurance when cornering in the wet or approaching the snow-handling limit.
