Performance Analysis
Drawn from 2 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.
The Michelin Primacy HP has mixed overall finishes in two summer tests, both in 205/55 R16: fifth of six in the 2010 Autocar FWD test and third of six in the 2009 AMS Summer and Winter Tyre Test summer comparison. These small fields and the absence of discipline measurements do not establish a consistent competitive strength from the placings alone.
The 2009 assessment praised handling characteristics, high steering precision, good comfort and low rolling resistance. Those are favourable observations from one test, without specific braking or lap-time margins, and the 2010 result gives no detailed explanation of its lower finish. No particular weakness can therefore be assigned confidently, nor can the two results establish wet-road performance or wear.
