The Pirelli P Zero Winter finished ninth of 12 overall with a satisfactory verdict in Auto Bild Allrad's 2024 SUV winter test. Wet handling and refinement were its clearer positives. It placed fifth of 13 in measured wet handling and sixth on the wet circle, with the testers praising grip and sporty wet-road behaviour. Low road noise and good rolling comfort also earned positive comments, although measured noise was a more modest sixth of 13 at 73.6 dB. These findings come from one comparison in 245/45 R18, so there is no repeated test pattern to establish.
Braking and standing-water performance limited the result. Dry braking was 12th of 13 at 43 m, wet braking ninth at 34.1 m, and snow braking 11th at 23.3 m. Straight aquaplaning resistance was also 11th, while the curved result was ninth. The testers specifically noted limited aquaplaning reserves and longer stopping distances. Their broadly positive winter assessment therefore sits alongside lower-field snow braking and traction, with traction also 11th of 13 and snow handling eighth. Its wet cornering and comfort strengths should be distinguished from stopping ability and resistance to standing water, rather than taken as a uniform grip advantage.
