The Pirelli PZero Nero received favourable braking and handling assessments in both of its tests. It finished second of eight in the 2013 Auto Bild performance summer test in 225/35 R18, where testers reported the shortest wet braking distances and praised sporty handling, ride comfort and low noise. Fourth of eight in the 2012 Auto Bild Sportscars 20-inch test in 245/30 R20 was supported by praise for wet handling, aquaplaning resistance, steering precision and short wet and dry braking.

Rolling resistance was the repeated reservation, described as increased in 2012 and slightly high in 2013. Wet braking is the clearest recurring strength in these two assessments, while comfort and noise praise comes from the 2013 test alone. The record is limited to two tests with tester comments and overall placings, so it does not establish detailed margins or a broader pattern across other sizes.
