Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Sailun Ice Blazer WST3 finished eighth of eight in the 2019 Vi Bilagare Studded Winter Tyre Test and was not recommended. Snow and ice grip were the main weaknesses: snow braking, traction and handling all ranked last, with gaps of 15%, 12.8% and 11.8% respectively. The ice results were poorer still, with braking 61.1% behind the best and traction 58.9% behind, both last of eight. Ice handling was also last, 17.1% behind the best. The testers singled out poor grip on both winter surfaces and named no strengths.

Road performance offered little compensation in this test. Dry braking was last of eight, 12.1% behind the best, while wet braking was seventh, 8.7% behind. The testers also criticised dry and wet handling, although the measured wet handling time was closer to the leaders, fifth of eight and 1.9% behind. Straight-line aquaplaning was the least weak result, fourth of eight, rather than a clear advantage. The test concerned studded tyres and reported early stud loss, so these findings should be read in that configuration and not as a separate assessment of an unstudded version.
