Where the Sumitomo WT200 finished in each measured discipline, across every test that measured it against at least two other tyres. Field beaten is the share of the other tyres it outranked in that measurement.

Performance Analysis
Drawn from 2 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.
The Sumitomo WT200 finished below the middle of the field in both Auto Bild winter braking comparisons: 31st of 54 overall in 2023 and 37th of 51 in 2025. Wet stopping distances were well behind the best in each, at 37.7 m and a 20.1% deficit in 2023, then 39.4 m and a 28.8% deficit in 2025.
The 2023 snow result was also weak relative to the tyres reaching that stage: 29th of 31 at 32.5 m, 12.1% longer than the shortest stop. No comparable snow result is available for 2025. These two braking comparisons give no standout strength and support reservations about wet stopping ability and the single snow-braking result, but do not establish handling, ice grip, comfort or wear performance.
