Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Toyo Proxes TR1 finished fifth of six in the 2024 TopTireReview Best UHP Tyres for Asia Test, with efficiency and comfort its better results. Rolling resistance was third of six, 6.8% behind the best, and subjective comfort also ranked third. These were relative positives in a test where most grip and braking results were near the back of the field. Measured noise was fourth, with only a 0.9% gap to the best, rather than a clear leading result.

Dry handling ranked last of six both on time and subjectively, with the lap time 4.5% behind the best. Dry braking was fifth, 15.6% behind. Wet braking also ranked fifth at 35.6 metres, 21.5% behind the best, while wet handling was fifth on both measures. Straight-line and curved aquaplaning likewise placed fifth of six. The testers described the wet and dry handling as needing improvement and identified competitive rolling resistance as the main positive. This single test therefore supports a modest efficiency advantage more clearly than a strong UHP performance claim, with limited evidence of how the results repeat elsewhere.
