The Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08R has shown useful wet-weather balance and heat resistance, but steering response is a repeated criticism in its two track-day comparisons. It finished second of five in the 2019 17 inch Track Day Tyre Test and fourth of five in Auto Bild Sportscars' 2017 test. The 2019 testers found limited overheating and consistent lap times, but average feedback and poor reactions to large steering inputs. Auto Bild likewise criticised slow steering in the dry. Timed dry handling was third of five in 2019, 1.4% behind the best, and fourth of five in 2017, 2.5% behind.
