Auto Bild SportsCars published their second all-season tyre test in October, evaluating ten tyres in the 215/50 R 18 size. The test included products ranging from established premium manufacturers such as Continental, Pirelli, and Goodyear through to budget offerings from Linglong and Fortuna. All testing was conducted using a VW T-Roc R equipped with a 300 PS turbocharged engine and 4Motion all-wheel drive.

Polish automotive publication Motor tested seven all-season tyres in size 215/55 R17 for issue 48/2025. The lineup included two premium tyres from Michelin and Continental, three mid-segment options from Nokian Tyres, Vredestein, and Yokohama, and two budget choices from Polish brand Dębica and Chinese manufacturer Sunny.
The most interesting result is Nokian Tyres' new Seasonproof 2 taking overall victory despite being a mid-segment tyre competing against premium products. It scored maximum points in wet conditions, winning every wet test category. The testers noted this as evidence that mid-segment tyres are now a real threat to premium products in the rankings.

This test was conducted by TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH between January and February 2025 (report number 713351940-PM), testing five premium all-season tyres in size 205/55 R16 94V XL. The test was commissioned by Nokian Tyres as part of their Premium Tyre Mark certification for the Seasonproof 2, with the Nokian tyre compared against the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6, Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, Michelin CrossClimate 2, and Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF 3. While TÜV SÜD is a fully independent testing organization with a strong reputation for objectivity, it is important to note that this test was requested and paid for by Nokian Tyres.

For 2025 Auto Bild All Rad (the SUV and 4x4 version of the magazine) have tested eleven tyres in the 215/55 R17 size. This dimension is commonly fitted to compact SUVs and crossovers, including models such as the VW T-Roc, Seat Ateca, Skoda Karoq, Toyota Yaris Cross, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Fiat 500X. A new test conducted by "auto motor und sport" evaluated the performance of the new CrossClimate 3 and 3 Sport all season tyres against the traditional summer touring and summer performance tyres. The test vehicle was a Golf GTI Clubsport, utilizing a tyre size of 225/40 R18 for all tests.

The tyres tested were the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 (ultra-high-performance summer), Michelin Primacy (premium touring summer), Michelin CrossClimate 3 Sport (ultra-high-performance all-season), and the Michelin CrossClimate 3 (premium touring all-season). The objective was to quantify performance differences in dry and wet conditions.

Auto Bild have conducted mini three set all-season tyre test specifically designed for electric vehicles, testing them in the 245/45 R19 size using a Hyundai Ionic 6S. The German publication put the Hankook iON FlexClimate, Michelin CrossClimate 2, and Vredestein Quatrac Pro EV through the usual testing across multiple climate zones to assess their performance in all weather conditions.

Currently, there isn't a lot of EV tyre testing performed so EV owners are in the dark about new EV specific options. For this reason, we are republishing data from a TUV report with the new Hankook iON FlexClimate vs some key rivals.
Usually we wouldn't publish this data as while TUV tests are independant, Hankook would have chosen the size, test vehicle and competitors, but as there's no test data out for the FlexCimate this is worth a republish. The test vehicle was a Tesla Model 3 Performance for the majority of tests, with the VW T6 stepping in for other duties such as aquaplaning.

I've performed the world's first test of the new Michelin CrossClimate 3 and CrossClimate 3 Sport all season tyres, putting them up against two of the leading competitors, the multiple test winning Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 and the excellent dry and wet focused Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6.

The German motor club ADAC is at the very peak of tyre testing, so any new test of theirs is extremely exciting. For 2025 ADAC has tested popular all season tyres in the common 225/45 R17 size, and included a wear test and a real world economy test. Sadly this test was started before the introduction of the CrossClimate 3.
Even with ADAC's rather unique way of testing, the winners are not a surprise, with Goodyear, Continental and Pirelli taking the top spots. The most interesting piece of data was the wear result of the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 - all but matching the Michelin CrossClimate 2 and beating the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6, but none of the leading tyres could get close to the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 impressive wear results.

Nokian have just announced the Nokian SeasonProof 2, the first tyre from their new, state of the art factory in Europe. They are hopeful this will finally be the tyre that brings them to the front of the all season market, so of course I had to test it!

In this test, I will be testing seven of the best all season tyres in the popular 235/55 R18 tyre size. As these are all season tyres, I will be testing them in all seasons, covering the dry, wet and snow performance of these tyres, and testing the noise, comfort and rolling resistance levels of the tyres to help you make the most informed choice for your own driving needs.

Below is the data from the Sport Auto all season tyre test. Their test vehicle was a sporty Hyundai i20N, and they included named reference summer and winter tyres, which is always nice (even if the summer tyre was the Asymmetric 3, a tyre originally launched over 10 years ago!)
Another key point is that the wet tests were done at cold conditions, "significantly below ten degrees", and around 7c for wet braking. Many of the all season tyres out performed the summer tyre, however as the summer tyre is not current it's hard to say whether a modern summer tyre would have performed better.

Auto Bild AllRads's 2024 SUV All Season Tyre Test tested 12 all-season tyres in size 245/45 R18, alongside summer and winter reference tyres. The test revealed significant performance gaps between the best and worst all-season tyres across various conditions, while also highlighting the compromises these tyres make compared to specialized seasonal options.
In dry conditions, the top-performing all-season tyres approached the capabilities of the summer reference tyre, but couldn't quite match its grip or balance. The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 demonstrated the shortest dry braking distance among all-season tyres at 37.7 meters, though still 2.4 meters behind the summer reference. In contrast, the poorest performing Minerva All Season Master required an additional 5.7 meters to stop. Dry handling tests showed similar trends, with the best all-season tyre, the Hankook Kinergy 4S2, achieving an average speed just 1.1 km/h slower than the summer reference, while the slowest Nexen N Blue 4Season 2 lagged by 5.3 km/h.

Motor magazine has recently conducted an SUV all-season tyre test, focusing on the popular 235/60 R18 size commonly found on SUVs and family vans.
The Michelin CrossClimate 2 SUV won the test. It had a great balance between snow, wet, and dry performance, while maintaining low rolling resistance and noise levels. The Continental AllSeasonContact 2 secured the second position, excelling in wet conditions and achieving the lowest rolling resistance. Bridgestone's Turanza All Season 6 completed the top three, displaying consistent high-level performance across all tests. In the mid-range segment, the Falken EuroAll Season AS220 Pro showed strong dry handling characteristics but underperformed in snow conditions. The budget-oriented Dębica Navigator 3 demonstrated impressive snow performance and competitive pricing, although its wet performance was subpar. The Imperial All Season Driver, while offering the lowest price point, consistently ranked at the bottom of most performance metrics, with notable weaknesses in wet and snow conditions. These results indicate a clear correlation between tyre price and performance, with higher-priced options generally offering superior all-round capabilities. However, some mid-range and budget options showed strengths in specific areas, suggesting potential value for users with particular performance priorities.
