2026 AutoView Mid-Range Comfort Tyre Test P5 of 5

AutoView overall score: 78.5 points. The Davanti DX640 wins on dry braking and efficiency but trails the field on comfort, handling balance and cornering grip — the areas that matter most for a comfort tyre. The abrupt limit-handling behaviour is the most concerning finding and is worth a careful test drive before buying.

Performance Analysis

Drawn from 1 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.

The Davanti DX640 has one independent test, so there is no evidence of a pattern across different comparisons. In the 2026 AutoView Mid-Range Comfort Tyre Test it finished fifth of five, despite recording the shortest dry stop at 42.49m from 100km/h. The testers also rated its rolling resistance best alongside the Kumho. Those strengths did not offset weaker handling and ride results in a field aimed at the middle of the Korean market.

In the same 2026 AutoView test, cornering speed was last at 69.76km/h and subjective dry handling was last at 6.8 points. The testers described abrupt rear-axle breakaway with little warning. Wet braking was fourth of five at 34.09m, 6.7% longer than the best, while subjective comfort was last at 6.95 points, with sharp impacts reaching the cabin. Noise was less of a concern, placing third at 61dB. The record therefore shows short dry stops and favourable efficiency alongside limited cornering grip, difficult behaviour at the limit and a firm response to sharp bumps, rather than a consistently strong comfort tyre.
