Davanti Tyres

These tyres seem to popular because several garages stock them,and say they are one of the best sellers.Well they have proven to me that they are not very good at all, grip in dry and wet conditions are rather poor,and I don`t drive fast by any means,they just seem like bog-standard cheapies to me.
In cold conditions they are very poor,almost no grip in icey or snowy condtions,I was surprised just how bad they are.
Garage told me they are designed in UK but made in China,well that`s all rather meaningless,quality wise I would rate them as poor budget tyres at best.
I know other people that have bought them,and they found them to be poor on ware and grip,so it`s not just me.
Don`t believe the hype,these tyres are not much good, spend a bit more on a known brand.

Worst tyre I have ever had, Got rid of them after 3000 miles, was advised that they where a very good performance tyre, I would not put these on a push bike,

I’ve been seriously impressed with the Davanti DX640 tyres. From the moment they were fitd, they’ve made a noticeable difference to the way the car feels on the road. They offer a really good balance of grip, comfort and confidence, making everyday driving feel smoother and more controlled.

One of the biggest things that stood out to me is the grip. The DX640s feel planted through corners and give plenty of confidence when accelerating, braking or changing direction. Even when the roads are wet, they feel secure and predictable, which is particularly reassuring in typical British weather.

They’re also surprisingly comfortable. Road noise is well controlled, and the tyres soak up a lot of the smaller imperfections in the road, making longer journeys much more enjoyable. The steering feels responsive without the ride becoming harsh, so they work really well as an all-round road tyre.

For the money, I think the DX640s are particularly impressive. They deliver the sort of driving experience you might expect from a considerably more expensive tyre, without the premium price tag. They look good on the car too, with a sporty tread pattern that complements the overall appearance.

Overall, I’ve been extremely happy with the Davanti DX640s. They provide excellent everyday grip, comfortable driving and plenty of confidence in both dry and wet conditions. If you’re looking for a tyre that offers a great combination of performance, comfort and value, the DX640s are definitely worth considering.

I bought a new Davanti 205/55 88V in May 2025, was on the car for only about 1000 miles, mainly motorway, before it distorted completely out of shape causing vibration, it took me a while to work out where the vibration was coming from as I wouldn't expect this to happen with a new tyre at such low mileage. I emailed a complaint to Davanti UK who did reply promptly and collected the tyre for inspection and eventually gave me a full refund after 8 weeks of waiting, seems a long time to wait - but at least they refunded me for what was obviously a very poor quality and dangerously constructed tyre, so I obviously won't be buying Davanti again and would not recommend anyone else buying one.

My 5000 miles include 400 on the track. The tyres are quiet enough on the road and ok in the wet. I survived one torrential downpour at 30mpg. For track use they are excellent. Progressive with no sudden breakaway. This is on an MX5 Mk3 set up for sporty use. On the last track day at Spa it was very hot and the tyres picked up loads of rubber pebbles. Many pebbles detached but others are permanently welded to the tread. At 5000 miles the tyres are legal but essentially done.
