Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 81% while driving a Audi A3 2.0T Sporkback (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 200 average miles
Great winter tyre. On the recent snow and ice they were confidence inspiring. The Wintoura + are superb. As long as you don't go like a rally driver on sheet ice roads they are great.

Given 28% while driving a Hyundai i20 (185/65 R15) on mostly motorways for 2,000 average miles
These tyres are dangerous on the wet even when brand new, im not sure what they did with them, but i am replacing them after only 1mm of use, i have conti ts870 in the front and these on the rear in a small fwd hatch and i have nearly crashed few times in short amount of time due to just sudden oversteer from these tyres in the rear, there is no warning or progress they just let go, worst winter tyres i ever had.

Given 28% while driving a BMW 740LD (275/35 R20 W) on a combination of roads for 1,500 spirited miles
Scary Tyres. Bought these for BMW 740LD. 275/35/20 rear and 245/45/20 front. Bought them as they were the only thing available in both sizes, OMG these tyres are scary. BMW recommends higher pressures for winter tyres but that made these deadly they were so skittish, dropping them to summer tyre pressures made them less nervous and actually better than summer tryes in heavy rain in cold weather. However the dry grip and handling is completely shocking, as is the way these tyres lose grip with every bump and undulation in the tarmac. These tyres are also very noisy, sound like driving an ancient landrover on crossplys. Please DO NOT by Davanti Wintoura tyres. They are dangerous and scary and ought not be on sale in the UK as they are so very bad.

Given 81% while driving a Skoda Octavia estate (205/55 R16 H) on mostly country roads for 450 average miles
Bought on garage recommendation. Initial reaction was "What? Who? .... Erm...Never heard of them." They are much more confidence inspiring than I was expecting. Cold damp, some ice and untreated snow roads all taken in their stride. Perhaps the fact thst i am now sourceing another set of wheels for a Fabia and sm specifying more wintoura, demonstrates my confidence

Given 77% while driving a Renault Clio 1.6 16v (175/65 R14 T) on a combination of roads for 5 spirited miles
Great tires for the price
I'm a professional sports driver and i recomend them. A bit noisier tires but overal good winter tires.

Given 37% while driving a Skoda Octavia vRS (225/40 R18) on mostly country roads for 300 spirited miles
Slightly better now they have been worn in a bit but lucky to be alive after the first 3 weeks with these on!! Bought these after a recommendation due to the usual Nexen Winguards not being available, you slide all over the road when new. Being used to a car that handles very well on Goodyear Eagle F1 A3s during the spring / summer months, these tyres make the car feel like you are constantly on a skid pan to start with- take some getting used to- never again.....
