Passenger Car All Season Touring Tyres Tyre Review Highlights

Kleber Quadraxer 2 rated 84% while driving a Ford Focus MK3
Driving on mostly country roads for 3000 average miles
Very very noisy on damp asphalt, huming sound. Good for lateral grip while xornering as expected due to pattern. All else - best all season tyre! Best buy/value 4 money

Nexen N Blue 4 Season rated 61% while driving a Volkswagen Golf Estate 2.0 tdi 140
Driving on a combination of roads for 9000 average miles
Tires were great at the beggining although 3 out of 4 turned very curved and are impossible to balance. Have developed side cracks after 1 year of use. Although the tire is very quiet with good comfort. 2nd winter I climbed 1600m easily at -5 degree on snow and the car didn’t even caused me a problem. Its like a winter tyre. The back is very tricky on wet but predictable. They are quite weak in the dry especialy at 20degree and up and are not for fast drivers. Wear is normal but if you buy them before winter they might be ok for an absolute maximum of 3 winter and 3 summer seasons if you turn the weels from back to front. I drive them on my personal car. Great for the price if they ate not defective.

Landsail 4 Seasons All Weather rated 68% while driving a Volvo XC90 D5 185 HP
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 spirited miles
Great tyre exceptional grip on snow majority of time AWD did not kick in unless giving it some on a corner then it kicked in and took you around very confidence inspiring. Handling suffers on greasy roads front of car always wants to push wide, good once the roads are fully wet or standing water. Reasonable grip on damp grassed hillside

Kleber Quadraxer 2 rated 94% while driving a Ford Focus
Driving on mostly motorways for 2500 spirited miles
Normally I have a set of summer and winter tyres, but since the winters in the Netherlands are not that severe I deceided to buy beside the summer tyres all season tyres instead of winter tyres. Another avantage is that the time I will change them for the wider summer tyres is not that important. Standard my Focus (MK IV, 1.5 182 BHP) is eqquiped with 235/40-18 rims ET55, the std 17" has an ET of 50. Until now, I have driven the Klebers for approx 4000 kms and I am extremely positive about them. The all seasons are much quiter than the Conti Prenium Contact 6 tyres, more comfortable, but strangly the feedback is as good as the Conti's if not even better. After 4000 kms the wear is not noticible. Mechanic grip is superb, and in the wet I have't experienced any problems. In february their was a lot of snow and ice. Immidiateley a lot off traffic problems, but the Klebers managed the snow without any problems, only a few days later when the snow turned to ice the grip was not perfect, but still good enough. I can only recommand these tyres, they are much better then their price would indicate! By the way, Kleber is owned by Michelin, which should say enough.

Maxxis All Season AP2 rated 77% while driving a Vauxhall Astra
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 average miles
the best all year round tyre I've used for the money. You also start with 9mm of tread from new, bonus. Tyre size were 225/50 17's. So a fairly wide tyre for winter use, but with the AP2's on over the winter months I managed to get where I needed to go, considering I was also driving an auto. Tested them on snow & ice, they excel within slush type conditions too. I'd certainly buy them again.

Landsail LS388 AS rated 73% while driving a Toyota Avensis D4D 2.2 T spirit
Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 easy going miles
I like it in general. BUT, they keep leaking I have to inflate them every 10 days, I am 100% sure there is no puncture and have been re-fitted 4 times by 4 different garages, the alloy wheels are new. I am not the only person complaining the leaking problem.

Firestone MultiSeason Gen 02 rated 92% while driving a Peugeot 308
Driving on a combination of roads for 1500 average miles
So far so good. 2000km in various conditions and no problem at all from -10c to 15c degrees. On snowy/icy roads superb performances without any problem. Not noisy at all until 120km, after that little noisy but nothing to bother. Can't wait to test them in summer conditions. If they are good in summer as in winter, then definitely best price/performance all season tire.

Barum Quartaris 5 rated 87% while driving a Citroën C4

Super comfortable tires. They rustle slightly in the water, but it's a nice whistle.

Kumho Solus HA31 rated 91% while driving a Peugeot 107
Driving on a combination of roads for 2679 spirited miles
Running these on a peugeot 107. I've had kumhos on larger cars before. For my daily commuter, I thought for the price I'd give the all seasons a go to avoid a second set of winter wheels again. Over the last month the snow has been heavy, over taking slow struggling cars has a breeze. They do feel soft when warm, but the cold weather and wet grip makes up for the warm short fall. The aggressive pattern does cause a slightly higher than normal road noise at 70mph. When these wear out, I'll be buying another set. For the price on a small car, I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Fortuna EcoPlus 4S rated 80% while driving a Opel Astra K 1.6 CDTI
Driving on mostly country roads for 3100 easy going miles
I have driven about 5000 km on the Fortuna Ecoplus 4S tyre. All round a good experiences. The tire provides full value for money. If you have a general driving need and do not need to go on a skiing holiday. Fortuna all-season tires provide significantly better grip (autum, winter) on wet and cold roads in the morning compared to summer tires. A good choice if you do not want two sets of tires.

Nexen N Blue 4 Season rated 78% while driving a Mercedes Benz A
Driving on a combination of roads for 10 average miles
Bought used Mercedes A160 W168 (as 3rd car in the family, for purpose of driving kid to the kindergarten) with, for me, weird tyre dimension, 195/50 R15 and I found these tyres for bargain, so less than 200€/set. I replaced ancient winter Pirellis which were on the car and I have to admit, although I got recommendation for N Blue 4 season, I have never driven 4 season tyres and never had any tyre brand than Michelin, Continental and Goodyear, so I did not know what to expect. It's been almost 6 months since then and I've driven them on dry road in the summer, wet road (here at my place we have lots of rain) and even snow. I am aware of limitation of allweather tyres, so I didn't even try to push them to a limits, but drive normally. Wow! I can recommend them. You won't have comfort like with premiums, but you will certainly get value for money. If your average mileage is approx 20.000-25.000 km/year, you might consider those tyres. Don't be snob. I would buy them again.
