Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tyre tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

The Dębica Navigator 3 achieves a podium finish, which represents a significant success for this Polish budget-segment tyre. The tyre is properly balanced with similar performance levels across all road conditions, meaning it doesn't surprise the driver in any situation and is perceived as safe. It wins the competition on the dry handling circuit and achieves the lowest rolling resistance in the test, making it the most fuel-efficient option. The tyre also demonstrates high lateral grip on wet surfaces. However, its braking performance on wet asphalt is only average, which prevents it from scoring higher. The Navigator 3 offers excellent value for money with consistent, predictable performance.
5th/7
The Dębica Navigator 3 confirms its reputation as a capable budget tyre with its fifth-place finish and respectable point total. This Polish-manufactured tyre competes effectively against more expensive rivals and achieves stable, consistent results across all test categories. It never fails in any discipline and secures high positions in several tests, including winning the rolling resistance competition outright, making it the most fuel-efficient tyre in the test. As the least expensive tyre in the comparison, the Navigator 3 offers excellent value for cost-conscious drivers who don't want to compromise significantly on safety or performance.

Given 81% while driving a Audi A4 B8 Sedan (225/50 R17) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
Very good tyre for that price. Feel comfortable especially when cold on little snow. For summer also good without any noice when taking a turn. Summer here is 40c. Wear is excelent, after 20.000km looks like brand new

Given 75% while driving a Fiat 500X (215/55 R17) on mostly town for 1,000 easy going miles
when getting through winter, i have chaged 18" rims with 225/45 bridgestone t005s to 17" 215/55 navigator3s. t005s were new, bought the fiat 500x hybrid recently. it is a very noisy, harsh but sure footed 1000 km experience. With debicas, i hear almost no rolling noise, battery charges faster, pothole comfort is there ( not forgetting 18 to 17" effect ). Braking needs some reserve with navigator3s on dry for sure, there is a strange feeling of lack of bite at the end of breaking pressure, obviously, comfort has a trade-off. With wet and snow experience, i will update here

Given 50% while driving a Ford Mondeo Mk3 1.8 (205/55 R16) on for 10,000 miles
After 2 years and 15000km front tyres at the TWI winter marker and the rear tyres do not show much wear. Wet grip is terrible, it's hard pull off the lights with all this wheel spin. On the snow they are note to bad better ten in the wet. On the dry they are quite comfortable and easy to drive.

Very good tires for the price, use in sea climate 4 seasons,no complaints for 15000 km, recommended!

Given 86% while driving a Peugeot 301 (185/65 R15) on a combination of roads for 7,000 spirited miles
I've used these tires for about 10k kilometers. I've used them in hotish weather (20+ C), cold weather (-10 to -15 C), on dry and on wet roads, on snow and ice on a mountain road and, for the price, I couldn't be happier. Not once did I find them to not meet my requirement. The grip was excellent in all conditions. I especially liked them on snow, they had very good feedback, I did not feel that I could lose grip even on pretty inclined slopes for a two wheelied drive car. I paid around 35 euros per tire which is an excellent price. Highly recommend!
