225/65 R17 Tyres

Over the past 30 years, I have used various Nokian winter tires on my Subarus and have always been pleased with the comfort, safety, and security these tires provide driving on Vancouver Island, Wet, dry, slush, ice and snow. As a skier I appreciate how these tires safely take me from sea level to the base of the ski hill at 1,100 meters. Always my first choice.

These seem equal or better at most things, compared to the Michelin X-ice 2's we had before. The are studdable but we are running unstudded and they work much better in deeper slush or snow than the Xice did when new. Lots of tread depth to start in 225/65R17 at 12/32, so they are a bit squirmy but that's a plus when you actually need winter tires IMO. So far the amount of wear is about 1.5/32 in 8000 miles, so, they might go 32000 miles before they get down to 6/32, we will see.
These were about 50% the price of Michelins and actually work better on our roads with lots of deep slush, and if they keep their wet grip as they age, I will get them again.

It came as a factory fit on a new Mazda CX 5 bought in Sept 2017, almost 9 years ago. Has lasted almost 50000km. The car has done 75000km total but during winter, we use separate set of winter tyres but the mileage is higher during summer so I guess 50000km with Yokohama would be correct. My son drove it the other day in heavy down pour at 140km per hour without loosing grip or aquaplanning with the tread depth of 1,7 mm. I was totally floored and terrified at the same time, sitting next to him. I personally would have never exceeded 100km per hour in heavy rain. The tyre will now be changed to a new set of Toyo proxes comfort for the next summer. I am sticking to a Japanese brand. Dont trust these European over blown tyre test results with the big four manufacturers of tyres that never dare to do blind tests on their tyre performance.

Best in snowy conditions in the alps.Not made for warmer summer conditions.

Great tire, happy to see Hankook on the premium segment. Have it on my Chrysler Town&Country 2014 and are so good, comfortable, confident, and not at least for great price.

These tires are a massive step up from where I was. In a 21 Outback and the cabin is almost silent. Super impressed with the quality and price of these tires.

Very good grip and softens the bumps even at highway speed. Very satisfied with my purchase!

Great tyre. Quiet on the roads and performed well on gravel and tar.

In the UK, being so wet I could never recommend this tyre. Forever wheelspinning and no confidence in wet roads
