215/45 R17 Tyres

Excellent tires for all seasons, this was my first test as I've always used summer/winter tires on all my cars for more safety and longevity. These tires perform very well on dry roads, in corners whether wet or not, but especially great on snow, whether it's recovery, acceleration, or grip (Summit of the Vosges for example or the Belgian Ardennes). I was very surprised despite all my extensive research on tires with a good price-quality ratio. After 46,000 km, I wouldn't try them again on snow as I've far exceeded the winter wear indicator, but there are still 2mm of tread left for summer.

Tyres were not round and shook the car above 80km/h. Had to get a new set since they came with the car as new so fairly expensive for distance driven. Tyre shop could not balance them.

These are fitted to my mitsubishi Evo IV . Running around 380hp.

They are only really used in the drive where they are delivering a stellar performance. I have driven them in the rain where they performed really well

Second time I’ve encountered this tyre as OE fit and the same outcome. Handling is bland to rubbery with no feedback and no confidence they’ll perform in bad weather consequently. Very quiet on smooth tarmac which makes the transition to surface dressed roads very noticeably noisier. As they age they get noisier. They can also feel lumpy at times they shouldn’t and at least once felt incredibly detached from the steering. A feeling I’ve never had before that both odd and disturbing. I was turning left on a dry road near home on a warm day when I got the feeling that I knew where we were going, the car (26 MY Mini Cooper C) knew but the tyres hadn’t got the message! This was at about 15mph. Changing shortly.

Amazing tyre would not consider anything else for a daly driven car. Dry performance is not as great as one from Premium Contact 6, altough steering response is better. Wet performance is superb, in heavy rain it feels like driving on dry. Highway driving they are comfortable and quiet and stable. Overtime the wear did not seem to impact neither wet or dry performance.

These tyres were fitted to my R53 mini cooper S when I purchased it and let me just say it's the worst tyre I have ever had the displeasure of using. lets start with the only 3 things this tyre has going for it. Number 1 the durability is fantastic, a set of these tyres will definitely last longer then you will be willing to keep using them, number 2 they are actually fairly responsive in terms of steering, number 3 they fit the rim.
I previously had toyo proxes tr1 and going from those tyres to those joyroads was what I'm fairly certain it feels like to fly a sailboat in a hurricane, if you even so much as think about wet weather these tyres completely lose the ability to function they are genuinely dangerous in the rain you would have a better attempt at making it to your destination unharmed if you wrestled an alligator with a lasso and rode it there like a surfboard!. Now let's talk about the noise these tyres scream like a toddler with toothache 5mph in a carpark you turn into a bay and suddenly these tyres give you their best impression of a 2am cat fight the entire car park has virtually snapped their necks spinning around wondering who has just gone sliding into a trolley bay but nope sorry ladies and gents I'm just turning at more then a 4° angle. I honestly can't describe how poor these tyres are I ran them for 5 thousand miles and honestly I now have a case of PTSD, post traumatic sliding disorder I still have around 5mm of tread left but I've now had them changed and gone back to Toyo proxes tr1 and I will never again use a set of these tyres.

For a cheapie tyre I can't complain about grip on wet or dry, but excessive side swaying and increasing tyre pressures don't help. Biggest problem is the blowouts and side wall cracks in exactly the same places with all four tyres on such very low mileage. I will stay very far away from these tyres, unless you are driving a very small lightweight car that doesn't have much top speeds.

After the 2nd season the dry grip deteriorated a lot, you should be very careful when accelerating from a corner, otherwise the ESP will intervene. I am considering to throw it away after this 3rd season, despite the low mileage (15 000 km) and wear.
