MasterCraft SRT Touring, manufactured during the tenth week of 2019, installed in March, 2019 on a 2012 Mazda 3 hatchback I Touring. Photo shows tire after ~30k 3 season wear only--I use dedicated snow tires in the winter here in Massachusetts. The wear bars are showing clearly and the siping in the center tread is basically gone. This is poor wear after the mileage I have (I drive average) but they are budget tires.
They grip well enough on dry if not pushed--I would not push them unless forced to. The road feel is harsh but the Mazda 3 is tuned for that road feel--It's not something I mind but they are NOT plush! Wet, again average. I have not pushed them but would not expect high speed or quick maneuvers to be safe. They are not that kind of tire. And--winter: I was forced to run them in very light snow and sleet conditions last week--slowly cornering on a residential street I slid a bit then they grabbed. It was not what I ever want from a tire!
I need new tires now and will be looking at premium brands with excellent wet handling and stopping. To wrap this up--they were not expensive and I was not in a position in 2019 to afford better. My mechanic recommended and I have learned much more about tires since then. I think this level of tire has a place but it does not have the reserve capacity to meet challenges or emergencies one encounters on the highway. The are still in production and the tread pattern has changed.
