These tyres are great. I thought they were a cheap make when I got them as my mates all had Pirellis and Bridgestone etc. But they are fantastic! I couldn't believe the amount of grip I had when cornering hard in the wet or dry. Even grip well in snow. I am still on the same set of tyres after doing 34000 miles and they haven't perished and have still got some tread left considering I have pushed them to the max. I am looking for some more but find it hard to get them :-/ I would definitely recommend these tyres.

Great tyre for a great car. Superb in wet and dry. No ABS or electricary to help the Polo so the tyres had to work hard. They were brilliant and would hapily buy again. Must be great with modern car tech.

Bought online as advertised being "designed and engineered in Britain". Fitted at National Tyres when I should have been concerned since they needed a mass of wheel weights. Discovered that they were "Made in China" so took the issue up with Avon and the supplier. Agreed to give me a 50% refund if I continued to use the tyres. Car developed a bad pattering at 40mph only.. but I perservered for 15k and then put them on the rear for them to split 3000 miles later revealing the metal core. Avon are no longer the company they used to be since being purchased by the USA.

Got a pair as an experiment to see if I could get away from relatively expensive continentals. Big mistake they squealed like an american car in a movie on roundabouts in the dry inspired little confidence and were equally poor in the wet. After a short while I shifted them onto the rear axle where they are less stressed and were adequate. I even went to the trouble of contacting Avon but their response was that it was an older design and therefore should not expect too much. I got rid as soon as I could justify changing them, overall a poor tyre.

Tyres were AVON CR 322
I bought these tyres thinking they would be pretty good in the wet, for the past 16000 miles they have been. I do quite a bit of fast country roads and cross town driving, usually fast roundabout etc.
Tyres have always been good grip in the dry, never ever broken away when ive pulled out of junctions, in the wet they are very solid and grip the road well. Ive noticed that they still hold there own, bit coming up to the end of there life and its now winter, they are finding it a bit difficult in the wet... im not having to pussy foot around, but have had the temptation to yank the hand brake as i can feel the car sliding about at corners, usually understeering into tight bends, nothing major but letting me know the tyres are on the way out.
I havent had any problems with these tyres, the clio has always been very sure footed and fine on the road, the suspension is quite firm and they do seem a bit hard sometimes, but always grip well, untill they are in wet slippery roads and there are pot holes, they tend to be bit hard and bounce on the road causing the ABS to kick in a bit. IE hitting a bump tyres bounce and in the air they stop, usually all other tyres ive had dont do this, but these are quite firm!
Other than that GREAT TYRE!! for the price its good in wet!! I drive very hard and they have been on for 18k!
