These tyres cracked around the tread so badly that I had to scrap them after 5000 miles.
These Avon Cobra Chrome tyres were offered at a buy now reduced rate. Excellent grip in the dry. I did have an incident in the wet on a freshly tarmaced road. Where the back end slipped out on a bend. Causing me to drop the bike. But overall these Cobra Chrome tyres look smart. Give a good ride. I will definitely buy again when they're replaced👍👍🙂
I put a pair of these tyres on the rear of a Mercedes C220d. I didn't record the mileage but checked my MOT mileage 2 months after fitting and showed 55k. 14 months later, current mileage is 64k and just had an advisory on the MOT to change as they are down to 2mm across the centre. My driving is a 7 mile commute to work mixed with some motorway driving. I have tyre pressure monitoring and the recorded pressure is as advised by MB so not over inflated. Really disappointed with these tyres and will not buy again.
I am a mature rider riding an old harley fatboy on days out around Wales mainly.The tyre is comfortable and stable but after 3000 miles the mot guy recommends a new back tyre 4000 its completely gone (thats not even one summer) .I am amazed at how many miles they say these tyres can do
Without doubt these are the worst tyres I have ever purchased. Not on the car that long and they have literally dry rotted and split to the point of dangerous.
Had them removed and the tyre garage said they'd not seen rot like it. The tyres still had 6mm tread on them.
