2016 All Terrain and Off Road MT Tyre Test
4th of 10 tyres
  • After the General Grabber AT won in the previous Drive Out tyre test, there was a lot expected of the MT version. Even though they were ok in all disciplines, they didn't excel in any one of them. The strength of the sidewalls is also disappointing, given that they have a 3-layer construction.

Can I get the General Grabber M/T in 255-55-R19 for a Disco 4 ? I may be able to fit a 255-65-R19 as vehicule is lifted. Supplier in Timaru ? Thanks

The MT was replaced by the X3, so I'd be looking at that size for your Disco. If that isn't available, it's worth checking out the AT/x or APT too.

Latest General Grabber MT Reviews

Given 89% while driving a Toyota 2006 Avalon (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 50,000 average miles
I have finally found a tyre that suits my application, wears evenly, not one puncture in 50000km. My vehicle works hard both on dry and wet, often carrying a full load, in a forestry application. Traction is really good, in serious mud, and in comparison to other MT tyres the mileage is excellent considering how hard they work.
