The Gislaved Ultra Speed 2 showed a more convincing everyday steering balance than outright braking performance in two 2025 summer tests. Moottori placed it sixth of eight in a mid-range field, praising neutral steering and predictable behaviour at moderate speeds. Dry braking was sixth of eight, 5.6% behind the best, and wet braking was also sixth with a 10.4% gap. Wet handling was seventh, with a lap time 2.2% longer than the fastest, matching the testers' view that it fell behind the leaders when pushed.

External noise was a relative strength at second of eight, while straight-line aquaplaning was fifth, 2.4% from the best. Moottori's favourable dry-road comments did not amount to a leading measured stopping result. Auto Bild's 2025 braking shootout placed it 36th of 52 overall, with dry braking 40th and 15.3% behind the best, and wet braking 36th with a 24.8% gap. Both comparisons therefore point to braking limitations, despite the reassuring steering description. The record supports an ordinary road-use balance more than strong performance when braking or cornering hard, with no wear results to judge service life.
