Hankook Ventus Prime2 Owner Reviews

Review this tyre

What owners say summarised from 52 reviews

Drivers' experiences with the Hankook Ventus Prime2 are mixed but lean positive, with many describing it as a strong-value daily-driver tyre that feels secure and predictable in normal use. Higher-scoring reviews frequently praise quiet running, comfortable ride, and solid dry handling, with several reporting very good tread life and cost-per-mile. A sizeable minority report weaknesses that include reduced wet traction (especially as the tyre wears), faster/uneven wear on some vehicles, and occasionally vague steering feel/feedback.

Great tyre, commensurate with the price. Very impressive in wet which is when a good tyre proves itself most. Very good level of comfort and noise. I guess there's a reason why they're getting OE contracts with major european manufacturers such as BMW now.

These are fantastic tyres, on my car I had 2 fairly new Pirelli P7 and 2 worn out no brand ditch finders, I tried the Pirellis on the front with 6mm of tread and was unimpressed, as with most Pirelli tyres it felt vague and bumpy. I was happy to try these as they are OEM on VW Golf, Mini Cooper S etc so I felt they would work well on my Audi, I wasnt let down. Huge wet weather grip, standing water is shrugged off and the sheer grip is very impressive. They are also pretty quiet and smooth too, although my car isnt the softest riding in the world anyway. It refuses to understeer even when driving far too fast (!). It really is time all the tyre snobs realised that big European names are being put to shame in performance and price by the Koreans, much like the cars they are fitted too!

Not the most comfortable tyre. Have only bought these tyres two weeks ago but have done a lot of mileage on good and bad roads. These tyres are not good on cornering. Had Bridgestone tyres on the car and fancied a change but made the wrong decision. Would not buy these tyres again. The steering wheel needs constant adjustment whilst driving and the steering needs careful handling when coming out of a corner.

Overall good so far. I have not tested so far extreme braking on wet, but tried flooded motorway and was stable with 120km/h. Fuel cons. is fine and price of tires was quite good!
