The Hankook Winter i cept evo finished in the lower half in all three performance-winter comparisons. Auto Bild placed it fifth of seven in 2011 and eighth of nine in its 2013 Sports Winter test, while Sport Auto placed it last of eight in 2012. Wet-road weakness is the most consistent finding: both Auto Bild tests noted longer wet braking, and Sport Auto criticised wet performance more generally. Dry handling was a relative positive with Sport Auto, while Auto Bild praised short dry stops and steering precision in 2011.
Snow results contradict each other. Auto Bild praised impressive snow handling in 2011 and stable snow handling with short stops in 2013, but Sport Auto found very weak grip and poor snow handling in 2012. That unusually poor winter showing prevents a consistent snow-strength claim across the three tests. Steering feedback also varied, with delayed response criticised in 2013 after the earlier praise. The 2013 comfort and low pass-by noise comments are useful positives, while high rolling resistance was a drawback in 2011. There are no individual measurements here to quantify these differences, so the record supports recurring wet-stopping concerns more firmly than a balanced winter recommendation.
