Dry braking was also relatively competitive, third of eight and close to the shortest stop, although the testers were less favourable about dry-road behaviour overall. Those results are useful distinctions, but they did not offset the tyre's weak performance on snow and ice.
It finished seventh of eight overall and last in every measured snow and ice discipline. The ice-braking and traction gaps were especially large, while snow braking, acceleration and handling also trailed the field. Wet braking was below average too. This is only one independent assessment, so there is no wider record to establish consistency across other sizes or conditions. Within that comparison, however, its quiet running and short dry stop offer little reassurance for drivers whose main reason to choose a studded tyre is dependable grip on ice and snow.
