Real World Driver Reviews

Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport Driver Reviews

Drivers largely praise the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport for exceptional dry grip, sharp steering response, and strong heat resistance that holds up on spirited drives and trackdays, with many noting good wear for a UUHP when driven hard. Wet grip is generally good but less confidence-inspiring than top wet performers, and comfort/noise are firmer and louder than touring options. Overall sentiment is strongly positive with standout dry performance and feedback, while minority concerns cite rapid wear on some vehicles and reduced traction in cold/damp conditions.

One word: fantastic! Truly a Michelin PS4s competitor!

Tyres I already drove on my 322hp Megane RS: PS4, PS4s, PS3, Nokian Powerproof and now the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport in 235/40/18.

Dry grip and feedback is great! Full throttle out of the corner is easy (works great with some added negative camber). It gives you so much confidence. The feedback is superb and now I really can push the car to its limits. I think they behave the same as the PS4s but it is difficult to compare because I've changed the suspension this year.

Firstly, the Ultrac Pro is a sexy tire. The sidewall is designed by italodesign, and it really looks good. Dry grip (intermediate temps ~10-20°C) is very good. The car feels to have endless grip and you really feel comfortable pushing some twisty roads. Obviously, the warmer it got, the stickier the tire was. The Ultrac Pro seems to like temperature.
Wet grip is also very handsome. You really feel comfortable driving in heavy rain, and the grip is also very reassuring. Especially in the wet

Footnote

This page has been developed using tyre industry testing best practices. This means we are only comparing tests which have had both tyres in the same test.

Why is this important? Tyre testing is heavily affected by things like surface grip levels and surface temperature, which means you can only compare values from the same day. During a tyre test external condition changes are calculated into the overall results, but it is not possible to calculate this between tyre tests performed on different days or at different locations.

As a result you will see other tests on Tyre Reviews which feature both the %s and %s, but as they weren't conducted on the same day, the results are not comparable.

Lots of other websites do this sort of tyre comparison, Tyre Reviews doesn't.
