Continental 4x4 Contact Owner Reviews

Review this tyre

What owners say summarised from 29 reviews

Short tread life is the main complaint about the Continental 4x4 Contact, raised in 16 of 29 reviews, although six praise longevity. Dry and wet road grip are more consistently liked, with seven and six favourable mentions respectively and little opposition. Comfort and low noise earn some praise, but snow traction and off-road ability divide opinion rather than establish clear strengths. Mid-life and end-of-life accounts include both good remaining tread and replacement at relatively low mileage. One owner's later reviews replaced early satisfaction with complaints about wear and winter use; another revised a wear complaint to correct the mileage, without describing further ageing. The average owner score is 63.6%, with most reviews neutral.

Came with car as OE. Driven 40000 miles from new and now down to approx 3mm. Never had any problems with grip in the dry, wet or snow as I drive according to road conditions and not at the performance limit of the vehicle. Would buy again but planning to sell vehicle soon so a lower cost Tyre will be purchased.

I liked these tyres (they came on the car as OE), but the wear was worse than expected. They lasted only 50.000km, mostly town driving. Changed to Toyo Proxes 4 because it costs half the price as compared to Continental here in Brazil.
